- 3 Normal size fresh orange, (2 for the Juice, 1 for the peels),
- 3 Eggs,
- 150 or 170 gr granulated sugar, (nearly a cup of sugar),
- 100 or 150 ml whole milk, (nearly 1/2 cup of milk),
- 1/2 Cup of sunflower oil,
- 1 Tablespoon of butter, (for greasing the baking pan/cake mold),
- 2 Cups of all porpuse flour, (nearly 400 gr), (Sift the flour through a sieve to avoid lumps),
- 1 Teaspoon of baking powder, (nearly 10 gr),
- 1 Teaspoons of vanilla, (nearly 10 gr),
Utensils;
- A baking pan or cake mold,
Preparation:
- First of all, put your all ingredients on the work table. Then grate your orange's skin into a bowl (remove wide strips of zest from the orange with a vegetable peeler/grater and do not remove the pith) and squeeze the all oranges to get the juice and set aside.
- Then, put eggs and sugar in a bowl and use an electric mixer to beat the eggs and sugar very well until it becomes creamy and the sugar is totally melted. Then add the milk, sunflower oil, orange juice and grated orange peel and continue beating for a couple of minutes.
- Meanwhile, sift your flour through a sieve to avoid lumps. Then add vanilins, baking powder and flour into the liquid mixture. At this point use the lowest level of your mixer and do not beat for a long time. It is done as soon as the flour is absorbed homogeneously in the liquid.
- Then, by the help of brush or with your hand to grease baking pan or cake mold with a little butter and then pour the cake mixture on the prepared baking pan or cake mold and preheat your oven to 180°C (356 °F) and put it in the preheated oven.
- And bake your cake at 180°C (356 °F) until golden brown on top or until a skewer inserted into the centre comes out clean. This process takes nearly 40 minutes. Then remove it from the oven and let it sit in the pan for 30 minutes to cool down. Then flip it over onto a cooling rack or serving plate.
Enjoy!
