History of Tangerine & Oranges

The tangerine and orange trees are very beautiful. They have a lot of shiny green leaves. Their small white flowers smell ery sweet and these trees have flower and fruits at tema time. Actually oranges, lemons, even Meyer lemons, grapefruits and bergamots are all related to wild mandarins, as are many of today’s most commercially very important citrus fruits. Tangerines are also, kinda. Some are distinct fruits grown around Tangiers region in Morocco, but in the U.S. they are hybrids of mandarins and pomelos.

According to historians both tangerines and oranges come from the China. There were tangerine and orange trees twenty million years ago. At taht time time, tangerines and oranges were very small, not like te ones today. Many different wild tangerines and oranges grow in China today. In other other words, these tangerines and oranges growth in nature. The Chinese started to raise tangerine and orange trees around 2400 B.C.; Chinese art has lovely old pictures of tangerine and orange trees.
