Preparing Triliçe Dessert |
Preparation:
First of all, preheat the your oven to 160-170°C degrees (320-338°F). Then, lightly butter your baking tray. Then, separate the egg whites and yolks. Then, put the whites of egg is a large mixing bowl and the yolks in a smaller mixing bowl. Dont forget to add a pinch of salt to the egg whites. Then, mix using a mixer until you get a snow-like thick mixture. Now, add your sugar to mixture and mix again with a mixer for 5-7 more minutes. Then, mix the egg yolks in a separate bowl with a mixer. Then add the egg yolks to the egg whites slowly and while mixing with the mixer. Now, take your flour, baking powder and vanilla. Firstly, sieve your flour, baking powder and the vanilia in a separate bowl. Then slowly add to the eggs, while mixing with a wooden spoon this time. Mix from bottom to top, try not to loose the fluffiness. When you get a smooth mixture, pour your mixture into the baking tray. Please make sure the your mixture is spread to the oven tray evenly. Then, place to bake in preheated oven at 170°C (338°F) for the first 10 minutes, then reduce temperature to 160°C (320°F) and bake for 20-25 minutes (Cook until the cake is cooked). Check with a tooth pick. When you dip it in and out of the cake and the tooth pick comes out clean; it means that the cake is cooked. Then, allow to cool (but not too much, it should be lukewarm).
Once you put the your cake mixture in the oven, you can start preparing your caramel. Because, this process takes quite some time for the sugar to be caramelized; firstly, put your butter and the sugar in a skillet. You should wait paitently, over low heat, without mixing, until these ingredients become a brown mixture (or,until sugar becomes reddish glassy and lump-free). As soon as the sugar has melted you can mix. Then, add your cream slowly, while mixing really fast. At this stage the sugar might turn stiff, don’t worry about it, because it will melt again. Mix until you get a caramel texture. You need to be patient for this process, it does take time, but don't worry, eventually your effort will really pay off. When your caramel is ready and your cake is ready, pour your caramel on top of the cake evenly. You might want to pour your caramel on the cake just before serving. Because, having the cake cold and the caramel warm is very fancy.
Firstly, in a large and deep bowl mix your all different milk (2 Cups Cow's milk, 1 Cup Goat's milk, 1 Cup Buffalo's milk - it is optional) or only Cow's milk and sugar until they are bubbly. Then, add the cream into your milk and sugar mixture and mix for another 2 minutes. This mixture is not cooked.
When your cake cools; cut the cake to serving size squares. Also make about couple of holes (4 holes) in each square with a tooth pick or fork. Then pour the milky mixture (milky syrup/sherbet) evenly on all the cake (pay attention that syrup/sherbet should be spreaded all over the cake). The cake will completely absorb the milky mixture very quickly. When all the milky mixture (milky syrup/sherbet) is absorbed. Pour your caramel sauce on top to cover all the cake. Serve cold.
