     Nowadays, Brownie cookies are very popular throughout the our region Anatolian (Especially in center of Anatolian). Most of our neighbors, our relatives or people we know try this delicious cookies at their homes. Brownie cookies are not difficult to make, but for some reasons many of the brownie cookies efforts end in disaster (such as over-baked problem, soaked over syrup problem). Sothat, our many neighbors or relatives struggle with it.

         Last weekend, i got a phone call from my best friend Selma and she said that "Why dont we mention about the Cocoa Brownie cookies -ıslak kurabiye- in this post. I tried it weekend, and result was good. Households licked fingers. It was really very yummy". So we decided to share our best friend Selma's "Cocoa Brownie (Moist Cookie) Cookie" experience in this post on the blog. We are sure that, you like this rich, dark, cocoaly, chewy and Addiction delicious cocoa Brownie cookies very much.  Our unique  Homemade-turkish-lemonade-limonata drink goes well with Cocoa Brownie (Moist Cookie) Cookie.

         How to Make Moist Cocoa Brownie (ıslak kurabiye) Cookies


         Here it is our "Moist Cocoa Brownie (ıslak kurabiye) Cookies Recipe";  

         Ingredients:


       Serve: 8-10 servings, Preparation Time: 15-20 minutes, Cooking Time: 10-15 minutes, Cuisine: Mediterranean/ Anatolian Cuisine,

Brownie Cookies (ıslak kurabiye)


         - 3 Cups all purpose flour,
         - 3 Tablespoons Cocoa powder,
         - 2 Tablespoons Powdered sugar,
         - 2 Tablespoons Vegetable oil,
         -100 or 125 gr Unsalted Butter, 
         - 1 Egg,
         - 1 Tablespoon vanilla extract,
         - 1 Tablespoon baking powder,
         - Salt,
         - Powdered sugar for dusting or Nutmeg powder (Coconut flakes),

         For syrup (sherbet) of Brownie cookies:

         - 1 Cup water,
         -1 Cup granulated sugar,
         - 1 Teaspoon Lemon juice,

         Preparation:


     First of all, put all ingredients on the work-table and line your baking sheet with parchment paper.
       Preparing Syrup (Sherbet);  After that, lets begin to prepare the syrup (sherbet) of Brownie cookies. Put all the ingredients (1 cup granulated sugar, 1 Teaspoon Lemon juice and 1 cup water) for the syrup (sherbet) in a heavy-bottomed saucepan and bring to boil. When it boiling, let it continue to boil for 6 more minutes. And then, put aside and let your syrup cool down.


How to make Brownie cookies
Baked Brownie Cookies in Syrup

         Preparing Cookie Dough; In this process, put butter, flour, egg, cocoa powder, vanilla extract and baking powder in a bowl. Then mix all of them and knead your dough very well. Your dough should be soft and non sticky as cookie dough. Then, using your hands or a cookie scope, drop the batter into balls (wallnut size) onto the prepared baking sheet, spaces at least 2 cm (nearly 2 inches) apart. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and bake your cookies for about 10-15 minutes, or until the tops of your cookies are crinkly and slightly domed. When your cookies are poufy and set. Then, place your cookies into syrup for 1 or 2 minutes and  remove them from the syrup.

Brownie Cookies' Dough

         Once cool, sprinkle generously with powdered sugar or Nutmeg Powder (Coconut Flakes). Then, place on a service plate.
